Sect and School of Thought on MosqueSync Schedules

Why masjids show Sunni Hanafi, Shafi'i, or other labels — and how it affects Jama'at times you see on MosqueSync.

Mosques on MosqueSync may list a sect (e.g. Sunni) and school of thought (e.g. Hanafi or Shafi'i). These labels help worshippers choose a compatible masjid and explain why Asr or other prayers may differ between neighbouring mosques.

Jama'at times are per mosque

Regardless of label, the schedule on each masjid page is set by that mosque's administration. MosqueSync does not override a masjid's published times with a sect-based calculator. Always follow the congregation schedule of the masjid you attend.

Regional reference meeqat

City meeqat pages show catalog reference times for an area. They are educational and may differ from your masjid's verified Jama'at. When both are available, trust the individual masjid page for attendance.
